Hasland CFC U18s - Sleetmoor Athleti
Under 15s
Before the matches this morning, all four pitches on the school fields observed an impeccable minutes silence for remembrance day. Well done and thank you to all players, parents, coaches and match officials.
Our u15s were back in league action this week following last week's defeat in the cup. Keen to bounce back quickly we asked the lads to be quick out of the blocks against a team which in all fairness we were expected to do well against.
This week the instruction to be quick of the mark didn't fall on deaf ears as Hasland took the lead after only 32 seconds straight from our own kick off. James played Alfie in down the left who cut inside and hit one past the keeper for his 4th goal of the season. 1-0 ⚽️
The next 30 minutes passed without incident although Hasland were controlling the game well, just not converting the chances they were creating. Then on 32 minutes Evan from centre back played a peach of a long diagonal ball which Cole latched onto to double Hasland lead 2-0⚽️
Then with one minute to half time Jack got round the back of the defence and squared a ball for the on coming Cole to double his tally 3-0⚽️ and effectively end the contest.
Half Time 3-0
Hasland continued to play well in the second half and took just 6 minutes to add to their lead, when Cole completed his Hattrick following another good cross, this time from Alfie. 4-0 ⚽️. Four became five just nine minutes later when Jack unselfishly played Cole in when he could have shot himself for Cole to score his fourth of the game. 5-0 ⚽️
Just three minutes later and with Hasland now taking full advantage of the extra space in the final third, made it six with a shot from Max T which was saved well by the Sleetmoor keeper only for Aidan to score from all of 2 feet. 6-0 ⚽️. Just two minutes then separated that and Haslands Seventh as we got a series of 3 corners in row. The final of which was converted by goal machine Cole Trevis to wrap up is 5th goal of the game 7-0 ⚽️
The final Hasland goal came by way of a penalty kick on the 70th minute after Alfie was dragged back in the box after beating his fullback. Up stepped captain and resident penalty taker Evan who smashed in Haslands 8th from twelve yards. 8-0⚽️
A good result for our u15s even if the performance wasn't as good as we wanted. Man of the match was an easy one today as Cole made a massive difference after coming on from the bench to bag 5! Well done Cole.
Next we go on our travels to Highfield Park to take on Spire Rangers away.
